The Buddy Scheme offers trained, volunteer: 

Drivers:

-- use their own cars to take heart care patients to cardiac rehabilitation or other heart care appointments at the Hospital or other sites around Salford

Befrienders: 

-- increase social contact for heart care patients 
-- meet heart care patients at cardiac rehabilitation classes, Healthy @ Heart exercise classes & our NEW Community Allotment to encourage and support them

Health Mentors: 

-- support heart care patients and their carers with weight management and making lifestyle changes (eg) healthier eating.  
-- Health Mentors are currently at Salford Heart Care support meetings at Kersal, Eccles, Cadishead & Swinton
