  Dr Nigel Hyams ran on behalf of Salford Heart Care  

Dr Hyams is the Lead GP for Coronary Heart Disease for Salford Primary Care Trust.  His role is to champion the cause for excellent levels of clinical care for Salford residents in all aspects of Heart Disease. He works closely with local cardiologists, other GPs and patient groups to reduce the burden of heart disease in Salford.

 
 
In a moment of excitement he decided to run the Manchester 10km run on 18th May 2008 to raise money for Salford Heart Care, a local patient group making great strides to empower patients to help themselves after developing heart disease. He had never run more that 5km and this was a personal challenge for him.
